Our Story
Jabiru Embroidery has evolved from a life long love of sewing and a little yellow boat! One year I made Christmas stockings for my own children. The following year it was advent calendars. Over time people saw them and started asking for similar for their children! We officially set sail in November 2013 making the Christmas stockings, later adding children's clothing throughout the rest of the year.
The Christmas stockings were hugely popular and as they were made entirely with my trusty sewing machine, we decided to invest in our first embroidery machine which also enabled us to add what we call "pretties" to the clothing range.
We then expanded the range of products to include more personalised items such as t-shirts, aprons, blankets & bags.
In 2018 we added workwear and uniform to our range.
2019 saw the arrival of Mumbles Zippies Bears which can be personalised however you would like with bespoke embroidery. Some of them can even be printed!
In 2020 we added vinyl cut designs to our library and in 2021, sublimation printing was added. Other methods of decorating garments were launched in 2023 meaning that we can supply a truly extensive range of personalised products for you to choose from.
While the majority of our work is now uniforms and workwear which includes a huge range of items, we do still thoroughly enjoy making the more bespoke items (pretties!) as time will allow!
2024 saw the arrival of a wonderful shop nearby which has enabled us to display a small selection of our customisable items.
I wonder what 2025 will bring!!
